Diamond in the Rough; Sioux Falls Polishes Benson Rd with New Interchange
As Sioux Falls celebrates the near completion of its pioneering 41st Street diverging diamond interchange, anticipation builds for the upcoming transformation on Benson Road with the city's second DDI.
The project which started in 2023 is moving along quickly. The City estimates that the project will be substantially completed this year with the final touches wrapping up in 2025.
The City is paying over $34 million for this project, which includes widening the bridge and Benson Road itself.
This area of Sioux Falls is a huge trucking and industrial hub for the city. This type of interchange will move many more vehicles through each day safely and efficiently.
