Beloved Neighborhood South Dakota Bar Announces Shocking Closure

It's been a tough year for some local South Dakota restaurants and bars. Every week, there seems to be one closure after another. Add one more to this growing list.

Located at 328 South Splitrock Boulevard, 212 The Boiling Point in Brandon, South Dakota, has been part of the community for nearly two decades. Sadly, the local sports bar has announced that they are closing their doors for good. It was a sudden decision.

Why This South Dakota Bar is Closing Its Doors?

The owners of 212 The Boiling Point broke the news of the closure to their bar patrons and the Sioux Empire in a heartfelt Facebook post.

212 The Boiling Point has been part of the Brandon, South Dakota community for the last 17 years. Whether it was a Saturday or Wednesday night, this bar was a local favorite for many in the Sioux Empire. Staff at 212 The Boiling Point will never forget the memories

We want to take a moment to express our sincere gratitude for your support throughout the years. Your trust and loyalty have meant the world to us, and it has truly been a privilege to serve you. However, after careful consideration, we regret to inform you that we have made the difficult decision to close our business. This decision comes with mixed emotions, but it is necessary as we move forward in different directions.

The news is bittersweet for the Sioux Empire. 212 The Boiling Point will be missed.

This one stings, I thoroughly enjoyed working for this place the years I got to bartend/serve the people of Brandon and the surrounding area.

Not gonna lie this one stings a bit. The amazing friends Adam and I now call family we have met there is priceless including the owner! It will be missed for sure love to all
