One of the first adventures I remember growing up in Missouri was arrowhead hunting. In all my years, I never found an arrowhead like one guy just found in Missouri. It's truly a once-in-a-lifetime 13,000 year old arrowhead that most will never see.

If you're interested in history and/or arrowheads, you really need to watch what just happened to The Creek Huntsman on YouTube. He finds many other interesting things, but it's just past the 6 minute mark when he freaks out after he realizes he has found what is known as a Clovis arrowhead.

Where in Missouri did he find this Clovis point arrowhead?

He didn't mention the exact spot for understandable reasons, but his description says southeast and west-central Missouri were the areas he searched.

A Clovis point arrowhead dates back between 12,000 and 13,000 years ago according to Wikipedia. While I disagree with dating methods used to come up with these dates, suffice it to say that this is one rare find.

How rare and valuable is a Clovis point arrowhead?

I'll put it this way. There's currently one available on Ebay that was found in Missouri that currently has an asking price of $1,800. Excuse me while I check the couch cushions for change. Heartland Artifact Auctions says this is the most valuable arrowhead you can put in your collection. Thousands of dollars are easily gained if you find one in great condition like this guy just did. An amazing find.
