Say it ain't so! One of my favorite fast casual dining chains is the latest company to announce they are downsizing in the near future.

Announcements like this aren't too shocking. So many major chains have also shared over the past year or two that they would be closing underperforming locations all across the country.

Red Lobster is one of the most famous examples of this. A year ago, they abruptly shut down a bunch of locations across Minnesota. Thankfully, our Duluth location is still standing strong! I love the biscuits along with everyone else.

Now another very popular chain - with locations in both Duluth and Superior - is following suit, closing several locations nationwide.

Noodles & Company is the latest chain to announce they are closing stores, with that news coming out just last week. They are planning to close between 28 and 32 locations across the country soon.

According to Restaurant Dive, they've already closed a handful of locations this year. They will continue to do so, with about thirteen set to close in the third quarter of the year. The remaining stores will close in the fourth quarter.

Are Minnesota & Wisconsin Locations Closing?

Did you know Wisconsin has more Noodles & Company locations than any other state? Wisconsin has about sixty locations, more than any other state. As of now, we do not know if any of these stores will be closing.

While we know when they plan to close stores, we do not know where, as the company has not made that public information just yet. Minnesota has about thirty-five locations, including one at the Miller Hill Mall.

Superior just got a location last September. It was a great addition to the area. When are carbs and noodles not a good idea?!
