Duluth’s 148th Buzzes Wisconsin Regional Airport + Stirs Up Town
A regional airport in Wisconsin shared a video of a pair of F-16s doing a flyby over the airport on Tuesday morning. The video has stirred up a lot of comments (mostly positive) from folks in the area who don't get to see the fighter jets that often.
I live in the Twin Ports, so it's not uncommon for me to see the F-16s flying overhead. Still, it really never gets old. I'm a huge aviation nerd and I always try to spot them when I can.
F-16s Buzz Chippewa Valley Regional Airport
For those that don't get to see them every day, it's quite the site. That's what happened in Eau Claire, Wisconsin on Tuesday, March 18th, 2025 when the pair of F-16s buzzed the airport. The F-16s were on their way to Madison, Wisconsin.

In the video the 148th "made their presence known" by doing a high-speed, low altitude flyover of the runway. The pilot then initiates a steep climb which shows just how agile the F-16 is.
F-16s Are Still One Of The Most Maneuverable Fighter Planes
While the F-16 was developed over 50 years ago, updates have still made it a very effective fighter. Videos like this show just how agile the aircraft is, and it's still one of the most maneuverable aircraft to this day.
Video viewed more than 80,000 times.
Tons of people watched the video and many said they didn't see the jets but definitely heard them over Eau Claire, Wisconsin. One thing is for sure, Eau Claire had a loud wake-up call to start their Tuesday.
