Did You Know This Netflix Actress Is From Minnesota?

Do you need a fun and feel-good Netflix binge to watch during this long and dreary winter? I have just the suggestion for you.

I have been watching Sweet Magnolias on Netflix for the past year or so. It is VERY cheesy but it's mindless and sweet, if you're into that kind of thing.

I wanted to know more about one of the lead characters because I knew she looked familiar but couldn't put my finger on where I knew her from.

While doing some digging, I learned that one of the leads is actually from Minnesota, which makes watching the show all the more fun.

Brooke Elliott is from Fridley, Minnesota. What did I remember her from? She got her big break on a show called Drop Dead Diva more than a decade ago.

Now, she plays Dana Sue Sullivan on this sweet Netflix hit. She was born in Fridley, as mentioned, and later, her family moved to Blaine. Of course, now she lives wherever her career takes her, which is not in the Land of 10,000 Lakes at this point.

The show is based on the book series of the same name. It follows three best friends in the small town of Serenity, where drama and romance take place. It's a good binge watch so check it out and support our Minnesota girl.
