It is Severe Weather Awareness Week in South Dakota, and there were plenty of weather warnings Sunday night to start the week off.

Rainfall in Sioux Falls only accumulated .52 inches while areas in Northwest Iowa got up to 1.07 inches. Currently, areas of the Little Sioux River are under a flood warning in Northwest Iowa after the heavy rainfall. The warning will not be lifted until late Wednesday night as 1 to 1.5 more inches of rain are expected.

Sioux Falls is expected to receive another 1.46 inches of rain as thunderstorms develop Tuesday night through Thursday.

Temperatures are also expected to drop to the 50s in the middle of the week, but the sun may come back out on Friday.
