Early on Thursday morning (August 23), a video of Ariana Grande seemingly shading Travis Scott began making the rounds online. It was taken during her recent performance at a Chicago listening session on Wednesday night, just after her manager, Scooter Braun, came onstage to say he was “100 percent” sure Grande’s new studio album, Sweetener, would take the No. 1 spot on the charts.

"We have three days left, you don’t know what Travis [Scott] could pull,” Grande retorted, referring to her BFF Nicki Minaj's feud with the rapper.

Now, however, Grande has taken to Twitter to set the record straight, insisting she was not, in fact, taking a dig at Scott, but simply making a misconstrued joke.

"I adore Travis & Kylie and I love the astroworld album," she wrote. "A joke issa joke watch the video, stop using me for clickbait so I can come online n celebrate my number one too pls ! hip hip hooray!"

The back-and-forth comes in response to Minaj's Twitter tirade earlier this week, in which she accused Scott of manipulating chart data by using his girlfriend Kylie Jenner’s platform to promote his music, causing her own album, Queen, to debut at No. 2. She also alleged he used merchandise and ticket purchases —w hich came with digital downloads of Astroworld— to count towards overall album sales.

Afterward, Scott and Jenner reportedly moved their seats away from Minaj at the MTV Video Music Awards, where Jenner was seen dodging Minaj on the red carpet and Grande was captured gossiping — assumedly about Scott and Jenner — with Minaj.

According to Grande, though, everything's fine and dandy!!
