Deep breaths, Directioners. Less than a week after Zayn Malik quit One Direction, Naughty Boy dropped a demo for "I Won't Mind" featuring the singer.

Feelings about the Naughty Boy collaboration aside, fans of Zayn's ethereal vocals will love the demo. Musically, it's stripped-back, letting his tone and range shine.

"I won't mind / You know I know you'll never be mine," Zayn croons, simultaneously making us melt and breaking our hearts.

The track is certainly a departure from One Direction's music, which started out as pure power pop and eventually transitioned into more rock-flavored tunes with the release of Four. "I Won't Mind" is a laid-back, yet strikingly beautiful track. It's a true look into everything Zayn can do -- and we're impressed.

Naughty Boy announced the track on his Twitter, writing, "let the music do the talking guys. thank us later. :)" Zayn has yet to comment on the newly released track. There's no word from the Directioners as a whole, either. As of press time, nothing related to the song appeared to be trending on Twitter.

The demo's release on the internet follows a less-than-pleasant Twitter war between the producer and One Direction member Louis Tomlinson. After Naughty Boy retweeted a video featuring the phrases “Naughty Boy saved my life. Zaughty will rise." ("Zaughty" is the portmanteau some are using to refer to Zayn and Naughty Boy's collaboration.)
