The first video was uploaded to YouTube. It features Jawed Karim, one of the co-founders, at the San Diego Zoo. The video was shot by Yakov Lapitsky at the San Diego Zoo.

The video itself is nothing special, but it started the video sharing revolution and made the founders of YouTube very wealthy when Google bought the company a year later for $1.65 billion.
