You may want to think twice before applying face paint to your kids' face this Halloween. According to a recent study done by the Breast Cancer Foundation, it may be toxic.

The foundation took a close look at 48 different face painting kits marketed specifically to children, and they found at least one potentially dangerous heavy metal in more than half.

Some of the kits actually contained traces of lead. Researchers found the darker the pigment in the face paint, the higher the level of lead.

Currently, the FDA doesn't have the power to require pre-market testing of the paint - something child advocates say needs to be changed.
