You Could Win $100,000 If You Give up Your Phone for an Entire Year!

Do you think you could go an entire year without using your smartphone? Well. Vitamin Water wants to see if you can do it and if you can, you will win $100,000. Here's the deal, according to WGN:

Vitamin Water will choose one participant. If the challenger makes it for six months they get $ 10,000, and if they make it for the full year they win a $100,000

The entry period starts Tuesday, December 11 at 8 a.m. ET and ends Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at 11:59 p.m. ET. You can enter up to four times.

Now, of course, nobody can go an entire year with a phone. What if there is an emergency of some kind. How is that person supposed to contact you? Well, the company will provide you with a 1996-era cellphone that can be used during the contest.

Interested? Just create a tweet or Instagram post explaining how you would use your year if you took a break from your smartphone. Make sure to include the hashtags #nophoneforayear and #contest in the social media post.

Apparently, a lie detector test will be involved at the end of the contest.
