Are you a band, singer or performer from South Dakota? If so, you could be performing in front of the crowds at the South Dakota State Fair this year.

No matter what genre or style you favor, or your skill level, The South Dakota State Fair and entertainer Sherwin Linton want to hear from you. They are looking for acts to be included in the 2017 State Fair AARP Centennial Stage shows.

“We are now inviting South Dakota talent to submit CD’s, DVD’s, photos and bios for consideration to be included as a guest on the 2017 Centennial Stage,” Linton said in a statement. “Adults, children, students, professionals and non-professionals are all welcome.”

Sherwin Linton is a native South Dakotan who got his start at the State Fair by performing on the free entertainment stages.

“No matter where I perform, from Minnesota to Texas, when people ask me what my favorite venue is, I always say the ‘Centennial Stage at the South Dakota State Fair.’ The fair is my homecoming each year,” Linton said.

The 2017 South Dakota State Fair is Thursday, August 31 through Monday, September 4 in Huron, SD.  This year’s theme is “Seriously Twisted Fun.”
