You Can Be in Sioux Falls’ 4th of July Parade
The call has gone out for floats to be in Sioux Falls 4th of July Parade. organizers are looking for entries from businesses, civic organizations, military groups, marching bands, clubs, and others. Kid on bikes are also welcome to ride the route and celebrate our country's birthday. Last year’s parade had almost 90 entries and more than 5,000 spectators
The parade will start near 13th street and go north on Phillips Avenue to Falls Park.
“This always has been one of my favorite events of the year. This is my final 4th of July Family Parade & Picnic as your Mayor, so let’s make this year’s parade the best ever!” Mayor Mike Huether said in a press release.
To get into the parade you can register online at siouxfalls.org/july4. Registration closes at 5:00 PM Monday, June 26. Walk-up entries will also be taken the day of the event. Kid entries don't need to preregister.
The 2017 parade is on Tuesday, July 4 starting at 10:00 AM. A free picnic at Falls Park will take follow at 11:00 AM.
