YANKTON - The Yankton Children's Theatre Company is losing its home in the old Elks building.

The Yankton Press and Dakotan reports that the company has been informed that the building will be sold after May 1 and they must be out by that date.

President Jill Paulson says the old Elks building has been the troupe's home base for several years, so moving will be a challenge.

Company members are able to build their sets, prepare costumes and hold all of their initial rehearsals in the current location, but it's not a viable location for productions.

The troupe rotates shows between the Dakota Theatre, the Summit Center Theater and the Marian Auditorium, based on the needs of the production and availability.
