Does the thought of dealing with campfires sound more interesting to you than dealing with grease fires while flipping burgers at a fast-food joint or putting out fires sitting in an office cubicle?  If so, the state of South Dakota is looking for you.

South Dakota Careers is starting the search to fill seasonal positions with the state of South Dakota.  Seasonal positions are those temporary positions that are offered by different state agencies with most of the work being done during the summer hours.

If you prefer to be outdoors during the summer and are searching for a temporary position, South Dakota Careers for Seasonal Employees are now open to anyone who wants to apply.  Some of these positions may require the applicant to travel or possibly even relocate for the summer.

Generally, these seasonal positions begin in May and end in September; however they may vary on beginning and ending dates.

South Dakota departments that are currently offering seasonal opportunities are the Department of Agriculture, Department of Transportation and Department of Game, Fish and Parks.  Many summer internships are also available.
