This Friday and Saturday, law enforcement and truckers across the region will join forces to hold the World's Largest Truck Convoy for Special Olympics in Sioux Falls.

Teri Schmidt of the Sioux Falls Convention and Visitors Bureau says last year's Convoy was awesome!

"Last year we had a record breaking number of trucks take advantage of this great event. 127 trucks were in the parade. This year, the Convoy is taking place at the W. H. Lyon Fairgrounds. The parade is being held on Saturday starting at 10:15 A.M. It will leave the Fairgrounds and travel to Minnesota Avenue before heading back to the Fairgrounds."

Schmidt says the streets of Sioux Falls will be lined with an expected 150 trucks as they convoy across their city to celebrate their support of the athletes of Special Olympics.

Everyone is invited to attend the Light Show on Friday evening, as well as the route end event, which includes lunch, truck show, auction and presentation of awards at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds on Saturday.
