The Sioux Falls woman accused of running over a state trooper and leading authorities on a high speed chase last month was finally healthy enough to make her initial court appearance in Lincoln County today via video from Minnehaha County Jail where she is being held.

25-year old Rachel Coleman is charged with attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault on law enforcement, vehicular battery, driving while intoxicated, felony eluding and hit and run charges.

Today's appearance was a bond hearing. Coleman's bond remains at $500,000 cash only. She also requested a Public Defender.

South Dakota State Trooper Andrew Steen, 34, was allegedly run over by Coleman during the pursuit and remains in critical condition.

Coleman’s next court appearance is scheduled for Nov. 13, but could change if she’s indicted on her past DUI history.
