Gaylynn Huber of Sioux Falls Streets says the blustery winds have impacted the on-going clean up operations since Tuesday.

"We finally got into the residential streets around 2:30 A.M. It was a little bit later than we wanted too. But, we just didn't want to jump into the streets and then continue to have problems with blowing snow. Once we go in to clean the streets we want to do it once and not have to go back."

The winds continue to be a problem!

"The winds have definitely have been a struggle. We're still seeing it today. Running around the outskirts of town---the snow really drifted in. The winds up to 45 miles per hour blew and drifted in a lot of snow. We are almost having to double plow the streets."

Huber says the snow clean up operations continues well into Wednesday night and into Thursday morning.

"We just jumped in zone two Tuesday morning and started on the north south streets. Tonight we will go into zone two (east west streets). At 1:00 A.M. on Thursday, we will go downtown and pick up the snow. Right now, we had about 25 percent of zone three plowed."

The National Weather Services reports Sioux Fall received around four point three inches of snow.
