Study Shows Women Cry More than Men. Really? They Needed a Study for That?
Dutch researchers recently did a study on 'Why Only Humans Weep.'
Some of the findings they came back with were women cry a lot more than men - up to 64 times a year, compared to only 17 times for men.
Women also cry longer - up to 15 minutes. Whereas men usually cry less than five minutes per occasion.
Researchers suspect it may be because women watch more 'tearjerker' movies than men.
On a related note, according to a recent Esquire survey, the three movies that usually bring men to tears are Saving Private Ryan, The Shawshank Redemption and Babe - the movie about a talking pig.
