You've heard The Lumineers' break-out song Ho Hey on Hot104.7. The band with the folk-rock sound has worked hard for their place on the nation stage.

The Denver based trio has its roots on the Ramsey, New Jersey. In 2002 lead singer Jeremiah Fraites lost his brother to a drug overdose. Fraites got together with his brothers best friend Wesley Schultz and used music to deal with the loss.

The pair played in the New Your area for a while then relocated to Denver. In the Mile High City the duo met classically trained multi-instrumentalist Neyla Pekarek through a Craigslist ad. She was a good fit for the band and they started playing at the Meadowlark club in Denver.

The band has released two independent collections and made their major debut in 2012 with their album called The Lumineers.
