The time has finally arrived for UFC to come to Sioux Falls on Wednesday Night. Here are some things to know.

This past week I was in Las Vegas on vacation and managed to catch UFC Fight Night: Dos Anjos vs. Alvarez at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. The experience is one that I will never forget, and also gave me an insight on to some tips/information about the event.

What Time Does It Actually Start?
Tickets say that the UFC event at the PREMIER Center starts at 4:30. That is the correct time but do know that there are different parts to the event. The UFC utilizes their streaming service UFC Fight Pass for each event as an exclusive carrier of some of the fights for the night. That portion of the card will begin at 4:30. FS1 will then carry the rest of the preliminary card beginning at 6:00, and the main card will begin at 8:00.

Two of the night's fights will take place on the UFC Fight Pass portion of the card. For those interested in seeing Sioux Falls native Devin Clark fight, you'll want to get to the PREMIER Center early. The UFC announced during the UFC 200 Pay-Per-View broadcast that his fight would be one of the first to happen.

UFC Fight Pass Prelims 4:30:
Rani Yahya vs. Matthew Lopez
Alex Nicholson vs. Devin Clark

The rest of the order hasn't been determined or announced yet by the UFC. This past weekend, the main card featured four fights with one being a championship bout.

So if the main card begins at 8:00, I should just show up for that?
No. Absolutely not. You'll miss out on the opportunity to see more fights and get your full money's worth. I was there for the last two fights of the prelims and wish I could have been there earlier. The main card for UFC Fight Night: Dos Anjos vs Alvarez was over within two hours because two of the fights on the main card lasted less than four minutes total. Get to the PREMIER Center as early as you can to see the most fights possible.

Where Should I Sit?
Here is what was really nice about my UFC experience in Las Vegas: I didn't have the best seats in the house. I actually bought $50 tickets and sat on what would be equal to the top of the lower level, or near the front of the upper level of the PREMIER Center. I could see the action without any issue at all. For those looking at the cheaper option, you'll have a straight on view inside the octagon. You won't be blocked by the cage and it will provide an angle for the fight that you won't miss anything.

For those wanting to spend the extra money, the closer to the experience the better. The atmosphere is a lot more lively down in the lower tier. I couldn't really find a bad seat walking around the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Tickets are still available for the fight also. You can purchase tickets here.

There is plenty more to see than just the fights
When the UFC comes to a town, they take it over. Monday and Tuesday will both feature different events that are available for the public to attend. These include open workouts and the official weigh-in for the event.

Monday will feature open workouts for some of the fighters on the card. This will be your chance to stop by and see the fighters in their final preparations for their fight. The event is open to the public and has NO COST to attend.

Final Thoughts:
If you are open on Wednesday night and are considering attending, GO. I can't recommend it enough. I had a blast in Las Vegas and was immediately excited that they were coming to Sioux Falls within a week. The UFC typically does shows in bigger markets, and we have the opportunity to host them. You won't regret the decision to go.
