On his huge 2012 album Wild Ones Flo Rida has two songs that make great use of samples I Cry and Good Feeling. Both have a real “What’s that song in there” effect. So I dug into the sample chain of the songs.

The latest single from the album, I Cry uses two layers of samples. The basis of the song is from a tune by Bingo Players from 2011 called Cry (Just a Little). That song in turn samples Piano in the Dark by Brenda Russell for the chorus.

Flo Rida’s song Good Feeling is based on a song called Levels by Avicii. Avicii, also known as Tim Bergling, is a Swedish DJ and Remixer. That song used a sample of 1962s "Something's Got a Hold on Me" by Etta James.

The Video for Levels is great too!
