One of my favorite events each year is the MLB All-Star Game. Each year moments and memories are made as the summer classic takes full attention.

Who could ever forget the tie in 2002 in Milwaukee? Seeing then Commissioner Bud Selig scramble to figure out what to do was one of the craziest moments in history. One year prior Cal Ripken Jr. hit a home-run in his final All-Star game and was given the opportunity to start at shortstop while Alex Rodriguez moved over to third base. We've seen Torii Hunter rob Barry Bonds of a home run, and one of the most famous plays where Pete Rose demolished Ray Fosse with a tackle to win the game in 1970.

Moments are all over the place.

My favorite is rather biased. It's not the best moment of all-time but for me it was perfect. I had the opportunity to attend the 2014 All-Star Game in Minneapolis and it happened to be Derek Jeter's final All-Star Game appearance. Growing up a Yankees fan, this was as perfect of a scenario for me.

Jeter led the game off with a double, and went 2-2 at the plate during his four innings of work. He received a standing ovation walking off the field, and that moment right there was THE moment for me. It was going to be the last time I saw Derek Jeter play baseball in person.

The All-Star Game airs tonight on Fox and also on ESPN 99.1 beginning at 7:00.
