What Happened to Sour Cream And Onion Or Barbecue? Lay’s Has Announced Four New Flavors Of Potato Chips

People's tastes have changed with the times.  Remember the days when the only flavor of potato chips to choose from were plain, sour cream and onion or barbecue?  Frito-Lay recently announced four new flavors of Lay's potato chips that will be on the store shelves.  But, are consumer's palettes ready for a Cappuccino flavored potato chip?

Frito-Lay's second annual 'Do Us A Flavor' contest gave people the chance to create a new flavor of potato chip that will be sold nationally and possibly win someone $1 million dollars.

Along with the Cappuccino flavored potato chip, consumers can also expect to see three other finalist's flavors:  Cheddar Bacon Mac & Cheese, Mango Salsa and Wasabi Ginger.  The flavors will be available on Monday, July 28, 2014.

Frito-Lay is hoping that the 'Do Us A Flavor' contest will help increase their on-line traffic and also get consumers heading to their favorite store to find the new flavors.

Later this month, potato chip lovers should also be searching for Lay's Stax chips in a Korean barbecue flavor and Lay's Stax in a Thai sweet chili flavor.

With all the new choices of potato chips, I sure hope that I will still be able to grab a bag of the "old-school" flavors that have always matched perfectly with a sandwich and an ice cold soda!
