Watch This Sports Guy Smack Down Any So-Called Controversy About Gay NFL Players

You may have heard that college football player and top NFL prospect Michael Sam state that he is gay. Sam, an All-American defensive lineman for Missouri and the AP's SEC Defensive Player of the Year, came publicly in an ESPN interview.

As can be expected there have been some loudmouths being loudmouths. The most common idea that they have been hiding behind is that a gay player, and any media attention that would come, would discourage a team from drafting him and would steal focus from the game.

There have also been many voices in support of Sam and in opposition to the loudmouths. One of the best was from earlier this week by WFAA-TV Dallas sports anchor Dale Hansen. Watch the video below where he sums up reality and smacks down any so-called controversy about a gay NFL player.
