Let's pick a new national holiday.  What would you choose?

Would Opening Day to observe the first day of the Major League Baseball season be too much of a stretch?

Now you have to realize that this question has always been and always will be one that comes up around existing holidays.  I'm sure you've had your share of suggestions.  Some have caused eyebrows to rise.  Others a wrinkled nose.  And there are those  ideas that are just plain stupid.

According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, former Cardinals player Ozzie Smith is heading up the promotion in an online campaign to get 100,000 signatures for a petition to have Opening Day, this year March 31st, declared as a national holiday.  If you want to add your name go to Whitehouse.gov.

What suggestions would you offer for a national holiday?
