The Sioux Falls chapter of Volunteers of America has launched a program called "Fresh Start."  The goal of the project is to collect unused hygiene products for the homeless in Sioux Falls.

Many of the individuals V.O.A. serves struggle to have their basic needs met - items that you and I often take for granted, like deodorant, toothpaste and other hygiene products that many in our community just can't afford.

If you're interested in helping, items can be dropped off at the Washington Pavilion, any of the six Sioux Falls Lewis Drug locations, or at the Volunteers of America building at 1309 W. 51st Streets.  The drive runs through Friday, November 14th.

Those items being collected:

  • bathroom tissue
  • shampoo
  • conditioner
  • laundry detergent
  • floss
  • toothbrushes
  • toothpaste
  • feminine hygiene products
  • diapers
  • deodorant
  • facial tissue
  • disposable razors
  • body wash
  • lotion

All sizes will be accepted including travel size, samples and hotel freebees.  For more information on the drive, CLICK HERE.
