Vikings Up One Spot in WBCA Top 25
LILBURN, GA — Augustana women’s basketball jumped up one more spot to No. 6 in the latest USA Today Sports Coaches’ Top 25 Poll. The Vikings, at 7-0, 3-0 NSIC, picked up two more wins over the weekend defeating Southwest Minnesota State and the University of Sioux Falls.
Ashland (Ohio) grabbed all 31 first-place votes and holds down the top spot for the fourth consecutive week. Bentley University is ranked second, followed by South Carolina-Aiken, Clayton State University, University of Indianapolis and Augustana.
LILBURN, GA — Augustana and Wayne State (No. 12) are the only NSIC teams in the top 25. Minnesota State was receiving votes in this week’s edition of the USAToday Sports Division II Coaches rankings.
The Vikings will hit the road this weekend for a pair of NSIC match-ups starting with Winona State on Friday night at 6 p.m. Augustana will then travel to Fayette, Iowa to take on Upper Iowa at 4 p.m. on Saturday.
