Siouxland Libraries, along with the South Dakota Humanities Council, is asking for the help of area veterans.

Thanks to a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities, the two organizations are starting up a program called 'Standing Together: The Humanities and the Experience of War'.

The purpose of the project is to teach veterans how to document stories intended to focus on the history, experience, and meaning of war and military service.  All area veterans are invited to participate.

Participation is free, and materials and refreshments will also be provided.  Meetings are Thursdays, January 29, February 26 and March 19, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Oak View Branch Library at 3700 East Third Street.
