Everything You Need to Know Before Going to Taylor Swift’s Concert in Minnesota

Taylor Swift will be in Minnesota this week and it's going to be insane pandemonium! The Swifties are ready for her shows to kick off on Friday (June 23). She'll play US Bank Stadium on both Friday and Saturday.

If you've never been to a show at US Bank, or maybe it's been a while, I've got some useful tips, tricks, and things to remember.

Make a Bag Plan

US Bank Stadium has a strict bag policy so make sure you're ready for that. And let me tell you, you don't want to check your bag because it's a headache. I did it at Taylor's Reputation Tour and it wasn't great. KARE 11 says that "bags that are clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC and do not exceed 12” x 6” x 12” will be permitted into the stadium." In addition to that you're allowed to bring in a small clutch that's 4.5" x 6.5". So basically, if you're wallet is bigger than that all of your items need to be loose in your clear bag.

Don't Stress Yourself About Merch

The lines are going to be insane. If you want to get merch while at the show the tip is to wait until you get into the stadium and don't bother with the ones outside. Apparently those lines get crazy really early in the day so it's not worth it. You can also buy a lot of the same merch online.

How to Get to US Bank Stadium

You can drive to the stadium, of course, but parking won't be cheap or easy. You can also take an Uber/Lyft. My go-to choice is always taking the light rail. It's way cheaper and you don't have to worry about the traffic right outside of the stadium. However...

The Light Rail Will Stop Running at 11:30 PM

Yeah... that's kind of a problem when her show goes until about 11:15/11:30 PM based on shows earlier in her tour. Most of the time Metro Transit increases the number of light rails and has light rails running later after big events. Unfortunately, Drew Kerr with Metro Transit told WCCO that they don't have enough drivers to accommodate. There will be some buses still running but you'll want to check out Metro Transit's schedule before banking on that.

So if you take public transit to the show either plan for an Uber/Lyft home or consider leaving the concert early. Although, I don't think the latter is really an option in anyone's mind.

Know Which Gate You Need Ahead of Time

It will make your life so much easier if you know which gate you need to go to before you head out. That way your driver knows where to drop you off or you know the best place to park in accordance with where your gate is.

Make Sure Your Phone Can Handle It

Don't end up with a phone that's telling you it has no more memory in the middle of the show. Go through the pictures and videos and delete the ones you don't need anymore to free up some space in advance.

Taylor's Opening Acts

For both her Friday and Saturday shows, Norwegian singer-songwriter girl in red (pictured above) will be performing. On Friday, Gracie Abrams will also perform and on Saturday OWENN will perform.

When Taylor Will Actually Take the Stage

The concert kicks off at 6:30 PM with the first of two opening acts. Based on past Eras shows, it looks like Taylor won't take the stage until about 7:50/8 PM.
