United States Senator John Thune Taking More Active Role in Former South Dakota Governor Mike Rounds Senate Campaign

Senator John Thune has taken an increasingly public role in the campaign of Republican Senate candidate Mike Rounds since polls earlier this month made the race appear tight.

Thune campaigned for Rounds in an ad last week and has taken on a more active presence in campaing stops.

A handful of recent polls show Rounds with a more comfortable lead over Democrat Rick Weiland and independents Larry Pressler and Gordon Howie.
