Police say they turned up two violations when they checked alcohol establishments in Sioux Falls Tuesday evening.

Detectives say of the 25 businesses that were checked, clerks sold alcohol to an underage person at Casey's General Store at 1901 East 10th Street and Gas Deals and Food, at 1329 North Main Avenue.

The clerks who made the sales were cited for furnishing alcohol to a person 18-to-20 years old and will be required to appear in court.

The stores could face fines, suspensions or the loss of their malt beverage licenses.
