Troye Sivan released a lyric video for his current single "Youth" way back in November, but that was ages ago, and as of today, he's mercifully graced fans with an official music video for the dynamic track.

After teasing fans with the promise of an impending “big big big big announcement” on Twitter, Troye tweeted that the music video would soon make its way online, though he remained quiet about the official release date. He tweeted only that “THE #YOUTH MUSIC VIDEO IS COMING SOONER THAN YOU THINK,” along with a gif from the video.

A day later (February 22) Troye revealed that the video would premiere today (February 24) at 10PM EST. YouTube, meanwhile, tweeted a ten-second snippet from the video hours before its official release, as Troye posted still images and photos from the video shoot in the time leading up to its premiere.

Troy recently performed “Youth” on The Ellen DeGeneres Show show for her 58th birthday, and he was quick to express his excitement for the performance during a series of tweets following the taping.

“I was super familiar with Ellen. I dreamt of going on that show for a very long time,” he told PopCrush during a recent interview, echoing his earlier statements. "It was an insane day, kind of. It went by so quickly and it was so surreal, but it was a good one."
