Trautmann Named To NFCA All-America Second Team
Trautmann earned a spot on the second team as a pitcher/utility player and has now been named to an All-American team three times during her career. Trautmann was named to the NFCA All-America Second Team as a freshman in 2012 before being named to the Daktronics All-America Third Team in 2013.
Trautmann started all 61 games this season, making 31 starts as a pitcher and 30 at first base while. At the plate, Trautmann batted .337 with 62 hits, including a single season record 19 home runs to go along with 10 doubles. Trautmann became Augustana’s all-time leader in home runs this season and has now hit 55 home runs in three seasons. She led the team with 58 RBI, marking the second time in her career driving in 50-plus runs in a season. Trautmann compiled a .701 slugging percentage and a .410 on-base percentage this season while leading the team with 20 multi-RBI games and finishing second with 19 multi-hit games.
In the circle, Trautmann posted a career-high 27 wins on the season posting a 27-7 record with a 2.82 ERA in 42 appearances. Trautmann tossed four complete games and seven shutouts while picking up one save. She struck out 172 batters in 183.2 innings of work and held opponents to a .242 batting average. She led the NSIC in wins and ranked sixth in ERA, sixth in innings pitched and fourth in strikeouts.
Augustana finished the season 46-15, marking the fourth 40-plus win season in the last five years while making its 22nd NCAA Tournament Appearance, including its fifth straight regional appearance. Augustana went 23-7 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play which was good for a third place finish in the final league standings.
