In an amazing story of unselfishness, a Brandon girl donated every dollar she made with her Summer project to a wonderful cause.
11-year-old Lizzi Boomsma is ready for 6th grade, but during the Summer Lizzi set up shop in the yard by the road near her home at Lake Madison. Her business is ‘Busy Lizzi’s Snack Shack.’
She makes money selling food snacks to the public. This Summer she made a profit of $67.
On Tuesday, the A&W Restaurant on East 10th Street in Sioux Falls was having ‘National Root Beer Float Day.’ It was a fund raising event for ‘The Wounded Warriors Project.’
Lizzi came into the store with a plastic bag containing her hard earned money and donated all of it to the project.
