With all the rain coming up in the forecast for this week, it got me thinking about songs with rain in the lyrics.  There are quite a few, but I narrowed it down to my top five.  However, they are in no particular order because I am indecisive.  So here we go.

'Kiss The Rain'- Billie Myers

I loved this song when it came out in 1997.  I'm not sure I ever saw the video back then because watching it now I kind of think Billie Myers is a little cray cray.

'I'm Only Happy When it Rains'- Garbage

Who doesn't love Garbage?

'Blame It on the Rain'- Milli Vanilli

Don't judge.  You know you were singing along.

'Rainy Days and Mondays'- The Carpenters

This was before official music videos so just enjoy this live performance of The Carpenters. It is a little coincidental that today is a Monday and it is rainy.  Let's just say I'm feeling kind of down.

'Flood'- Jars of Clay

I know Jars of Clay is technically a Christian band, but when I heard this song in 1995 it rocked my face.  I was pretty young then so I didn't care if a band was rock or pop or country, I just knew I liked this song.  For the record, I don't really care now what genre a band fits in either.

And as an honorable mention:

'Chocolate Rain' - Tay Zonday

Did you really think I would do a post about rain songs and not have 'Chocolate Rain' in the mix?  Wouldn't chocolate rain be delicious?
