Oh, the Summer of 2006. I remember two things. I wasn't quite 21 and Yung Joc was on fire with his Summer smash, "It's Goin' Down."

Anytime a song has a dance to go with it, you know it's a big deal and the simpler the dance, the better. So the 'motorcycle' or the Joc-in, was perfect.

"It's Goin' Down" by Yung Joc was the debut single for the album New Joc City.

According to Wikipedia:

It was voted the #1 song of 2006 on MTV2's Sucker Free Countdown. It also was voted number 1 on BET's 106 & Park, and is also #1 on BET's Top 100 Songs of 2006. It was nominated at the 2007 Grammy awards for Best Rap Song but lost to "Money Maker" by Ludacris featuring Pharrell. It won a place on Rolling Stone magazine 's annual 100 Best Songs of the Year, ranking at a respectable #79, in the 2006 edition.

While the song topped many lists for the year of 2006 it did not reach #1 on Billboard's Hot 100. "It's Goin' Down" peaked at #3. However, it did reach #1 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Rap Tracks charts.
