"Zombie" was the lead single for The Cranberries off of their second album, No Need to Argue.

The song was written by the band's lead singer Dolores O'Riordan in memory of two boys who were killed in an IRA bombing in Warrington. It is essentially a song of protest.

The song won 'Best Song' at the 1995 MTV Europe Music Awards.

The song also hit #1 on the Billboard Hot Modern Rock Tracks.
