"No Diggity" has made a comeback in recent years. It was featured in the first Pitch Perfect movie and Ed Sheeran even weaves it into a medley during his live concert, which was the inspiration for this week's pick.

"No Diggity" was released in 1996 and knocked "Macarena" out of its 14-week run at #1 here in America on the Billboard charts.

According to Wikipedia here are some other accolades for "No Diggity":

It ranked at number 91 on Rolling Stone and MTV: 100 Greatest Pop Songs. It sold 1.6 million copies in 1996, and won the 1998 Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocalsand was nominated for Grammy Award for Best R&B Song. It ranked at #32 on VH1's 100 Greatest Songs of the '90s.

The song was passed up by the group Guy and Aaron Hall. Blackstreet didn't even like the song when presented to them, but did it anyway. I think we can all appreciate the fact that they took a chance on the song.

The music video was nominated for Best R&B Video and Best Rap Video on 1997's MTV Video Music Awards.

The video features Lil Penny. Lil Penny was Penny Hardaway's altar ego in commercials.
