"Are You Happy Now?" was the first of three singles off of Michelle Branch's album, Hotel Paper.

I loved Michelle Branch when she came out. She came onto the music scene when music was dominated by bubble gum pop and girls showing mid-drift. Michelle was a breath of fresh air. She still does pop music, but it had soul and she played guitar and she was on Madonna's record label. She eventually parted ways with Madonna, but still, she was cool.

Hotel Paper was Branch's second album and it did not disappoint.

"Are You Happy Now?" peaked at #16 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart.

The song was nominated for a 2004 Grammy Award in the "Female Rock Performance" category, against Avril Lavigne with "Losing Grip" and Pink with "Trouble." Just to name a few. Michelle Branch lost to Pink, but hey losing to Pink is not so bad, I mean Pink kicks ass.

"Are You Happy Now?" is also featured on the video game Karaoke Revolution.
