Foo Fighters lost a listener vote to 98 Degrees for the Throwback Thursday honors last week, but I figured they still deserve it!

"Learn To Fly" was the first single from the band's third album, There Is Nothing Left To Lose.

Like many Foo Fighters music videos before it, "Learn To Fly" was awesome. The band members play multiple characters and it all takes place on a flight.

The video actually won the Grammy for Best Short Form Music Video.

The song went to #1 on Billboard's Alternative Songs chart, #2 on the Mainstream Rock chart, and #19 on the Hot 100 chart.

In 2015, the song had a bit of a resurgence thanks to 1,000 Italian musicians performing the song in an effort to get Foo Fighters to play a show in Cesena, Italy. It worked. The band performed a show in November of that year and started their show with "Learn to Fly."

That video is below. I remember just thinking it was so cool. Watching the drummers is so crazy. Everybody is so in sync.

So much team work!

It gives me chills!
