"Sweet Dreams" by German dance duo, La Bouche, was released in the US in 1996. It was released in Europe, two years earlier in 1994.

La Bouche is actually French for the mouth.

The group was made up of singer, Melanie Thornton, and rapper, Lane McCray.

Melanie began doing featured singing for other artists and eventually went solo. She had success in Germany and other parts of Europe before her death in 2001. She tragically passed away in a plane crash.

La Bouche kept on with different singers throughout the years.

However, in America, their biggest success was during the mid-90s. "Sweet Dreams" went to #13 on Billboard's Hot 100 and #3 on Billboard's Hot Dance Club Party chart.
