"Hate It or Love It" was on the The Game's debut solo album, The Documentary. It was the third song released from the album. It featured fellow G Unit member, 50 Cent.

"Hate It or Love It" features a sample from The Trammps song, "Rubber Band."

The song peaked at #2 on Billboard Hot 100 due to 50 Cent's song, "Candy Shop." It did reach #1, however, on Billboard Hot R&B and Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Rap Songs chart.

"Hate It or Love it" was also nominated for a Grammy. According to Wikipedia, "At the 2006 48th Annual Grammy Awards, the song was nominated for two Grammy Awards, including Grammy Award for Best Rap Songand Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group but lost in both categories to Kanye West's "Diamonds from Sierra Leone" and The Black Eyed Peas' "Don't Phunk with My Heart", respectively."

The song received a lot of praise and had positive reviews from critics.

The music videos show the upbringings of The Game and 50 Cent. One in Compton, California and the other in Jamaica, Queens, NYC.

The music video was nominated for awards too! According to Wikipedia, "This video was nominated at the MTV Video Music Awards of 2005 for Best Rap Video, but lost to the video for Ludacris' song "Number One Spot"."
