Throwback Thursday – Deadeye Dick ‘New Age Girl’ (1994)

This song is a classic.

Deadeye Dick found a new fan base when their song "New Age Girl" was used on the soundtrack of Dumb and Dumber. The song is also on Deadeye Dick's debut album, A Different Story. 

The movie helped catapult their career. The song peaked at #27 on the Billboard charts, which was a blessing and a curse. The band could never recapture the success of "New Age Girl" thus they became a one-hit wonder. But hey, that's better than a no hit wonder.

Deadeye Dick was formed in New Orleans, but they show Iowa some love in the video for "New Age Girl." Check it out.

According to them, however, people in Iowa have pumpkins for heads. Weird. This video is so 90's it hurts a little.
