This Week’s Volunteer Opportunities
Face It TOGETHER Sioux Falls is hosting its 3rd annual Golf Fundraiser. They need 30 volunteers to do various jobs such as serve breakfast/lunch, direct golfers, and give instructions. The event is on Monday, June 13th and includes three separate tournaments starting at 7:30 AM, 10:30 AM and 1:30 PM. Volunteers can choose to work the whole day or sign up for a single shift.
Volunteers are needed at the Helpline Center’s Step Forward To Prevent Suicide Walk & 5K on Saturday, June 18 at Falls Park. All funds raised at this event stay local, helping to prevent suicide and to support those who have lost loved ones. Volunteers are needed to assist runners and walkers with parking, hand out refreshments, greet walkers and runners, serve as run and walk turnaround volunteers, and assist with registration.
Zippity Zoo Day is the Great Plains Zoo & Delbridge Museum’s annual Children's Carnival at the Zoo. Volunteers are needed on June 18th to help with games, face painting, pop booths, set-up, and tear down.
The Furniture Mission is looking for a male volunteer between the ages of 15-19. The job requires heavy lifting. You will be loading and unloading furniture from trucks, and picking up furniture from homes. The hours can be flexible for the job, but they are looking for a 4-6 hour work day commitment Monday through Friday. They would also consider a three-day-a-week schedule.
