Workers on Wheels Adopt-A-Lawn

Adopt-A-Lawn through Workers on Wheels (WOW). The organization serves individuals over the age of 60 who do not have family available in the Sioux Falls area to help with their lawn care, and are not financially or physically able to do the work themselves. WOW is currently seeking volunteers to adopt-a-lawn of a client. This is a great volunteer opportunity for an individual, family, or group. You simply “adopt” a client’s yard by agreeing to mow it once a week or as needed. Those volunteering are asked to keep lawns manageable and safe.

As a classroom volunteer through Junior Achievement, you would teach students Kindergarten through 12th grade through pre-developed curriculum about business and economics. All volunteers must attend a two hour long training session. This is your opportunity to share your life experiences with students and help provide a positive impact in their lives.
