According to the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) the movie that the most people rented last year was a film staring Ben Affleck as a gun toting number cruncher.

The MPAA's numbers show that The Accountant beat Wonder Woman and Moana to the top of the list of the most rented movies of 2017

Rotten Tomatoes describes the move this way: "Christian Wolff (Ben Affleck) is a math savant with more affinity for numbers than people. Behind the cover of a small-town CPA office, he works as a freelance accountant for some of the world's most dangerous criminal organizations. With the Treasury Department's Crime Enforcement Division, run by Ray King (J.K. Simmons), starting to close in, Christian takes on a legitimate client: a state-of-the-art robotics company where an accounting clerk (Anna Kendrick) has discovered a discrepancy involving millions of dollars. But as Christian uncooks the books and gets closer to the truth, it is the body count that starts to rise."

I have this move chilling on my DVR. It's not a real surprise that it was the biggest rental of 2017. The movie, which came out in 2016, has what is reportedly a great performance by Affleck, lots of action and a nice 'whodunit' plot. It's seems to be kind of like a super exciting double length episode of a CBS crime drama.

There is a sequel on the way too.

I look forward to watching it one Sunday when I finally get through all the episodes of Timeless that are stacking up, and after the next season of The Expanse which starts soon. Oh and I still have to see Black Panther and Justice League and that fish love story move. So yea, I look forward to watching it sometime, eventually. Man, I forgot that still have all of White Famous on my DVR too!
