Back in 2013, Jerry and Marina Leussink of Sundre in Alberta, Canada were looking for a way to entertain family and guests when they came to visit. So they came up with an idea, why not build a swimming pond.

So they used a spot on their farm to built an enormous, 90-foot-long and 70-foot-wide swimming pool that can hold over 317,000 gallons of water. There is a shallow end for the kids and tops out at 14 feet deep.

Maintenance is pretty standard, according to Insider:

The Leussinks clean the pool themselves by adding chlorine and rotating the water with a pumping system.

The family even uses it year round because in the winter time, they turn it into a ice-skating rink.
