Taylor Swift Dishes on Romance in Vanity Fair
Taylor Swift covers the April 2013 issue of Vanity Fair and in it, she declares that she has only dated two people since 2010 – One Direction‘s Harry Styles and Conor Kennedy of that Kennedy clan. While Swift did not speak directly about the implosion of her three-month relationship with Styles, a source was given authority (by her) to do so.
But first things first. Swift did say all this criticism about her being boy crazy because she writes about love in her lyrics is unfair.
For a female to write about her feelings, and then be portrayed as some clingy, insane, desperate girlfriend in need of making you marry her and have kids with her, I think that’s taking something that potentially should be celebrated—a woman writing about her feelings in a confessional way—that’s taking it and turning it and twisting it into something that is frankly a little sexist.”
She has a point there.
As for the Styles situation, she gave someone authority to speak about it with the magazine. The source said Styles wore down the singer’s resolve, chasing her for a year, telling her “You’re amazing—I want to be with you. I want to do this.”
They tried dating in early 2012, but then a photo of him making out with someone leaked. He texted her to warn her it was a goodbye kiss, but she wasn’t having any of it.
He continued to pursue her. She relented and dated him but felt like “he’s looking at every girl” while they were together.
The source also said “he just didn’t want to keep it going.”
And that’s how Haylor imploded in January 2013, kiddies.
